About Terry Covey

Since 2003, Terry has been the pastor of Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Ferrum, VA. Prior to coming to Twin Oaks, Terry served as an associate pastor at Lima Baptist Temple in Lima, OH. He is a graduate of Tennessee Temple University with graduate studies at Temple Baptist Seminary and Liberty Theology Seminary.

In 1994, Terry began writing daily devotionals in order to encourage fellow believers. Terry has expressed that is has been through the writing of these hundreds of devotionals that he himself has grown spiritually and obtained a better appreciation for the Bible’s relevance for everyday living.

In 2004, he launched his ‘Seeds of Faith’ blog in order to make his devotionals and ‘bite-size Bible studies’ available to readers on the internet. “Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever imagined that God would use me to encourage believers around the world.” Regular subscribers to his blog include believers not only from America, but also from Canada, South America, Australia, Europe, the Middle-East, the far East and several countries throughout Africa.

Terry has been married to his wife, Tammy, since 1981 and they have two lovely daughters – Cindy and Amy. Both daughters are married and along with their husbands are actively serving the Lord. Recently our family has been blessed with a beautiful baby granddaughter – ‘Pippa Louise’. God has been so good to me!
